  Hotel Chez Wright-Hughes
Its been a while since our last post so we have much to tell!
Mum and Dad (Hughes!) came over with Lucy (Rich's sister) at the beginning of Februry to visit us for four days en route to Las Vegas to also visit Little grandson Henry for the second half of their North American tour. It was really great to see them (and thanks for all the Chocolate!).
Firstly we went up the Empire State building; it was a super clear day, but one which was also super cold as you can tell from their expressions!
We also visited lots of museums, the Frick collection, the New-York Historical Society, the New York Public Library map collection, and Lucy and I went to see the 'Bodies' exhibitions too. Lots of shopping was also undertaken.
Here we are on a walk in Central Park

The two towers in the first picture is the building at the end of road.

Also notable during Mum and Dad's visit was the 27 inches of snow that fell on their last day.
Hang on, 27 inches?!?!!?

Fortunately, Mum, Dad and Lucy had only a slight delay the next morning at the airport. It was really nice to see them (and thanks for all the stuff you brought over for us!)
Carrie and I had a couple of days after Mum and Dad left before Katherine and Lee, friends of ours from London, arrive for a visit.

Katherine and Lee we slightly jinxed when it came to visiting places. On their first day they went to Liberty Island only to be evacuated off due to high winds! They went to the UN the next day at it was closed! We did managed to successfully visit the Guggenheim museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Heights, Greenwich Village, and the Empire State Building. It was really nice to have them come and visit.

This is not the best pic of us both, but until we find a better one, it'll do. We were in Moscow, thats why it looks cold, and we couldn't find anyone to take a picture for us. We'll be adding to this blog as we (try and) set ourselves up for a couple of years in Manhattan.
